Republican scientific-practical conference on the topic “Mahmudkhoja Behbudi's Legacy and Issues of Science, Education, and Upbringing in the Jadid Movement”

In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PK-462 dated December 27, 2024, “On the Wide Celebration of the 150th Anniversary of the Birth of Mahmudkhoja Behbudi, the Founder of the Turkestan Jadid Movement, Prominent Writer, Public Figure, Publisher, and Educator,” and to implement Order No. 70 of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation dated February 19, 2025, the Tashkent branch of the University of Business and Science will host the Republican Scientific and Practical Conference on “Mahmudkhoja Behbudi’s Heritage and Issues of Science, Education, and Upbringing in the Jadid Movement” on April 8, 2025. The conference will be held in both traditional (offline) and remote (online) formats.

Professors, researchers, independent scholars, as well as master's and undergraduate students are invited to participate in the conference with their scientific articles and theses related to the conference topics.

All accepted materials will be reviewed, and the conference proceedings will be published electronically. The authors of the best articles will be awarded diplomas and certificates.

Conference language: Uzbek.

The conference will be held in the following sections:

-The life and works of Mahmudkhoja Behbudi, his scientific and political activities;

-The role of Mahmudkhoja Behbudi’s works in enhancing the intellectual and moral potential of the younger generation;

-The ideological, political, social, educational, legal, and ethical views of Turkestan’s enlightenment thinkers;

-Jadidism ideas: conceptual analysis and scientific approaches.

Requirements for papers and theses:

-Must align with the conference theme;

-The relevance of the topic must be justified;

-The level of study of the problem and the methodological basis must be outlined;

-Conclusions and recommendations must be presented logically and consistently.

Technical requirements for formatting papers and theses:

-Text editor: MS Word;

-Page format: A4, 1.5 line spacing, margins: left – 3 cm, right – 1.5 cm, top and bottom – 2 cm;

-Font: Times New Roman, size 14;

-Length: 5–10 pages;

-No more than 3 authors per article or thesis;

-No more than 2 submissions per author;

-Must include an abstract and keywords (according to the provided template);

-References should be cited in parentheses and listed at the end of the text in accordance with the citation sequence (as per the provided template).

Participation in the conference is completely FREE.
Each participant may submit up to 2 papers or theses.
All submissions will be checked using anti-plagiarism software, and originality must be at least 70%.

Articles and theses must be submitted by March 25, 2025, via Telegram to S. Elmurodov (Tel: +998 97 477-35-75) in the format: Author’s Full Name.doc.

IMPORTANT NOTICE!

-The deadline for thesis and application submissions is March 25, 2025 (inclusive).

-Submissions sent after the deadline will not be accepted.

-The organizing committee reserves the right to select scientific materials.

-Only theses recommended for publication by the editorial board and for which publication costs have been paid will be published.

-The conference materials will be published electronically and sent to the authors.

-Authors are responsible for the accuracy of the data, facts, and statistics in their theses.

-Theses that do not meet the requirements will be rejected and will not be returned to the authors.
